Our Third Grade Teacher
This picture was taken a couple of months ago at my Aunt Dorcas' burial at Oakland Cemetery. Luckily the broken branch did not damage any of the tombstones.
I had asked my "three words all the way to Oklahoma City" Uncle if he knew how to spell our third grade teacher's name. He walked to the cemetery today and found her grave marker.
It reads: Vivian E. Misenhimer 1899 - 1999
I wonder how many children she influenced over the years?
She lived such a long life. She would be humbled that you are posting about her!

One Hundred Years - I'll be she's a legend.
ReplyDeleteI hope teachers realize how much influence they have on a child's life. I remember vividly the good and the bad, 50 years later!!!
ReplyDelete100 years - amazing!
ReplyDeleteHow nice that he found her grave marker. I bet she touched more lives than even she knew about, in more ways than she could have imagined.
ReplyDeleteWow, 100 years old. I'm sure she influenced many.
