Anti-Aging Cream

I don't usually do a lot of family pictures but this is a picture of my oldest granddaughter, Rachel. She is fourteen. I had to work this weekend so we could not have all the little ones over. As she and her Papa can fend for themselves, she came alone.

After telling her she could use the face cleanser that was on the vanity in my bathroom, she brought it to me pointing out it was anti-aging cream. I told her it was still okay to use. Her response was, "But I don't want to look nine years old!"

If it were only that easy. Five years off with the use of cheap Dollar General facial cleanser.

Gee.. I wish it was that easy too!

If it were, I wouldn't spend the money on the Clinique stuff :)

  8. Her face is beautiful!! So natural and innocent..Oh to be that age again and know what I do now.. To tell the truth, I hardly used creams or make-up (eyes and mouth) until I was almost fifty. All the Italian women in our family had good skins and I figured it was the intake of olive oil in everything. I have never worn pancake of face powder. My skin is excellent at sixty seven. I also wet it at the sink when I am at home and leave the water to sink in. Again...a beautiful daughter, may God bless and protect her always. xx

  11. What a cutie pie....and yes I agree on the banks, jeez how many do we need? I have a theory on them, when you need them they are not around and when you don't need them they are banging on your door.

  13. I'm racing over to Dollar General. Rachel is a cutie, and at her age all I wanted to do was look older. Sigh!

  14. Oh yeah! I wish it did work like that! :-) Young people don't think they will ever age, too. My daughter and I were recently talking about how time just slips away!

I'm glad you enjoy my posts. I do yours so much, as well! The beauty here is something you have to want to see, sometimes, I think. People visit and call it "barren" or "brown" but you have to be willing to find the beauty here. It isn't as obvious as it is where there are so many gorgeous old trees and gurgling streams. But, I find something interesting or beautiful every single day! It's like an adventure!
